Our Story

My name is Mark Keller, creator of American TV 2 Go, a DIRECTV^® customer since 1994, and a veteran with over 20 years of active duty service in the U.S. Air Force and Navy. As you can imagine, I have spent a lot of time overseas and/or away from home. As such, I have missed countless major sporting events and many of my favorite shows while I was travelling.

Back in the summer of 2006, I received orders to a squadron based in Japan. Having been abroad many times over the years, I knew that I was likely going to miss a couple of season's worth of college football - a fate worse than death. This simply would not do, so I set about trying to figure out how to remedy the problem. The tale is long and convoluted, but the result is that I purchased a Slingbox™ and connected it at my home in Virginia Beach. I asked a friend in Japan to login and tell me what he thought. He loved it.

A couple of weeks later, I got a call from my friend and his poker buddies. They all begged me to hook up Slingboxes for them, too. A lightbulb appeared over my head and American TV 2 Go was born.

Since then, word-of-mouth alone has served to create an expanding network of friends and friends-of-friends who now enjoy the benefits of my service all over the world.
